It has been a while….sorry

Well where to begin. Let me first say I am sorry for being lazy and for taking so long to update this. I have been here almost 8 months with 4 more to go. I feel like time has flown by. This is no more apperent then my clothing. I have started putting on some of the clothes I wore when I first got here. The weather has switched from hot and humid to cool and slightly chilly at night. With that comes a whole new spectrum of things.

I have definitely had a few patches where I was extremely homesick and wanted to be home. Besides my family and friends, this can be attributed to football season. It is killing me not to be at the games. I have yet to miss a game on the internet though. This usually involves me watching it in the early hours of the night or early, early Sunday morning. I am stoked for this weekends game against Alabama and think we have a great shot at winning.

I also had a severe run of bad luck healthwise, all in a period of a week. First, I had severe toothpain and ended up having to go to the dentist a few times, I now have a fake tooth and a root canal. Then like 3 days later I was at school and in a period of 40 minutes my temperature went from 98 to over 104. I found myself in the ER with IV’s and needles in me. Im told I had viral pneunomia.

This semester at school is going by real fast. I think this is because the semester is about a month shorter then the first one. I am hoping that I will get extra vacation time. From about Christmas until the end of February is no school. I will be teaching a few weeks of winter camp but that is cake and I will be gone by 12 pm each day that I have to teach.

October is festival week in Busan. Busans three biggest festivals have all been this week or in the upcoming days. Right now is PIFF (Pusan International Film Festival). This is Asia’s premier film screening festival and has drawn stars and directors from all over the globe, including Josh Hartnett. Needless to say, in front of his hotel, bushels of high school girls screamed his name and followed him around like ants when he exited. This Saturday is the Fireworks Festival which draws about a million people to a really small beach and part of Busan. Should be a good time as we will be watching from a buddies apartment roof. Today is also the first day of the Seafood festival which I will be attending on Sunday. I am sure there will be tons of interesting pics from there.

I miss everyone and the Gamecocks. I pray you are safe, healthy and getting on well. I look forward to speaking with everyone soon.
