Korean wedding I went to. This is one of the teachers at my school. He is currently in Hawaii on her honeymoon. Weddings here are very different. First off, you can take pics with the bride before the ceremony. Secondly, when you get there you go to tables, get a blank white envelope, write your name on the cover and stick money in there. Third, there is no reception when it is over. You just head out to eat/drink etc with whoever you want.

My co-teacher made it! For a girl that is only 24, yoga guru and non smoker, I thought I was going to have to carry her.

My school took a hiking trip. This mountain was insanely tall and a rough hike. 35 people (34 Koreans and 1 American haha) set out to reach the pinnacle. Only 12 of us made it. These are the kind of memories Ill remember the most- school trips and adventures will teachers at my school. Gupo Elementary!!!!!!!!

Probably my favorite festival of the year was the Busan fireworks festival. 1 million people crammed into a tiny beach area of Busan to witness the madness. About 45 minutes of pure grand finale. It was insanely awesome. It was also the night I lost my first Korean phone.

Brett and I went surfing a short while back. It was cold and the waves were weak, but we had a great time. I wish I had done this more over here but I can promise that Charleston will be dominated this summer and spring.

Time flies and the hardest decision of my life

Well, again, I have been slack on updating my blog. This semester has flown by. It feels so wierd to be wearing the clothes I came here in. The weather has gotten cold but things keep trucking on.

Today I made my decision on whether to stay longer or come home. I can honestly say that I dont think I have ever experienced a decision this hard. I have prayed so much and shed more tears then I ever dreamed I would. I will be coming back to America. While I know this is probably the right decision, it doesnt make it any easier. I dont know what the future holds but I am ready for it. I hope that I can start my teaching career in the states and make a difference to as many people as I can.

December has started and is flying by. I only have a few weeks of school before break starts. During this long break I will be teaching a two week winter English camp. Other then that, I think Ill just be sitting around updating my resume, site seeing things I havent done and bracing myself to leave 4 million people and return to a city of about a 1000.

I think the Christmas holiday will be tough being away from family and friends but I know it will still be nice. Thanksgiving was cool bc many friends and I enjoyed a thanksgiving buffet at the military club here in Busan. A few days later I got to enjoy another thanksgiving at my church. It was a great service and a well planned and delicious lunch.

Well, the decision has been made and I will try to look forward to what is to come instead of what could have been. I will enjoy my last 80 days here I can promise you that. I pray the holidays find everyone in good spirits, good company and good health. I miss everyone and cant wait to see you soon. God Bless and go Gamecocks!!!

PS, it was awesome watching USC crush Clemson. It was also awesome watching Clemson lose to Georgia Tech today.
